Tool verification and ranking methodology
Last updated 1 November 2026
Deekoya AI lists AI tools and open models from public sources and checks that every listed tool still works. Broken tools are removed; working ones stay listed with the date of their last successful check.
Where tools come from
Curated lists of major AI products, Product Hunt, Wikidata, GitHub repositories, community 'awesome' lists, Hugging Face (models and Spaces), OpenRouter (API models) and tool submissions. Same-name re-imports are merged or point to the original page.
Link checks
Each tool's official URL is checked: the domain must resolve in DNS, the page must load without a 4xx/5xx error, and it must not redirect to a parked, for-sale or unrelated domain. Sites that block automated checks but resolve are kept. Hugging Face and OpenRouter entries are checked against their official APIs.
Two-strike removal
A tool is removed only when a second check on a later run confirms the failure, so a temporary outage does not remove it. Removed tools leave listings, search and the sitemap, and their old page redirects permanently to the tool's category.
Ranking
Lists are ordered by Deekoya picks first, then a quality score computed from the listing data (description, source and completeness) and public popularity signals such as Hugging Face likes and downloads or GitHub stars. Payment does not affect ranking.
Pages without a full guide
Pages for models and smaller tools are generated from the source data only (publisher, task, format, size from the model name, download counts with their date, our link check). Unknown facts are left out rather than guessed.
